A teleprompter for TikTok that records the video too
Paste your script, pick 9:16, and read it while you look into the lens. ClippCut records the video, adds captions from your script, and hands it to the TikTok app.
Step by step: animated stickers
- Say the call to action. “Hit subscribe”, “follow for more”, “link in bio”: ClippCut hears it in your script and pops the matching sticker in as you say it.
- Or place one yourself. Put [like], [bell] or [subscribe] in your script, or tap a sticker in the script editor. It shows as a small cue and is never read aloud.
- Pick the look. In Review, swap any sticker from the gallery, and choose how they move: Pop, Bounce, Slide, Ring or Beat.
Why read from a prompter on TikTok
Most TikToks are filmed in several takes because people lose their place or say “um” while remembering the next line. Reading from a script that scrolls under the camera keeps your eyes on the lens and gets you to a clean take faster, without sounding read if the script is written the way you talk.
Record a TikTok with ClippCut
- Open ClippCut in Safari or Chrome on your phone and allow the camera and microphone.
- Tap Script and paste yours, or pick a ready-made one like hook, tip, call to action.
- Choose 9:16. The preview is exactly the frame TikTok will show.
- Tap the red button. After a short countdown the script starts scrolling at your speed, or turn on the microphone button and it follows your voice.
- Trim the start and end, then tap Share and choose TikTok.
Captions without a transcript
TikTok viewers often watch with the sound off. ClippCut already knows your words, so as you read it notes which word you’re on and when. They’re drawn into the video as you say each word, and words you put in **bold** in the script burst out bigger. Pop captions are free; Pro adds Punch, Karaoke, Hero and Clean. You can also download them as an .srt file.
Tips for TikTok scripts
- Say the hook in the first two seconds, before you smile or wave.
- Keep sentences short. If a line is hard to say, rewrite it until it isn’t.
- Keep the prompter strip short and at the top, so your eyes stay near the front camera.
A TikTok script that doesn't sound read
- Write it out loud. Say your idea to yourself first, then type what you said. Spoken sentences are shorter and looser than written ones.
- One idea per video. If you have three tips, that's three TikToks, or one list video that moves fast.
- Put the payoff early. Tell people what they'll get in the first line, then deliver it.
- End with one ask. Follow, comment or try it: pick one.
Calls to action as stickers
Say "follow for more" or "hit like" and ClippCut can pop a matching animated sticker in at that moment, or you can place one with a cue such as [like] in the script. You choose the sticker and how it moves when you review the take.
Posting from your phone
After the take, tap Share and choose TikTok. The video arrives as an MP4 in TikTok's editor, where you can add sounds and post as usual. If you posted with TikTok's own captions, turn ClippCut's burned-in captions off so they don't overlap.
